Identifying biomarkers to detect anal intraepithelial neoplasia among Thai men who have sex with men. This study enrolled 246 subjects at the Thai Red Cross Anonymous Clinic to identify biomarkers (HPV subtype, p16, MCM proteins, E6 and E7 mRNA) that can be used as adjuncts to anal cytology in the detection of high risk anal intraepithelial neoplasia. The study is funded by amfAR and will complete in 2013. An additional component to assess HPV infection in the oral cavity is being implemented.
